Brew addon: Recipes, batches, ingredients, and brew-day logging are rolling out here. Calendar uses the shared Planning system — there is no separate brew-only calendar. Brew works fully without the Accounting addon; enable Accounting only if you want GL, invoicing, or stocked ingredient costing.

Brew starter template: When the Brew addon (with Accounting) is enabled for a new user, the system provisions a full accounting DB + a reusable catalog of brewing ingredients with sample prices/costs and example BOMs. This is the "accounting part which includes BOMs" template. Real legacy recipes (Gambrinus and many others) are available to browse on the Recipes and Ingredients pages and can be selectively imported — they are not forced into every new brewer's active set.
